The overall objective of any formal environmental management system is to:

"to control and prevent pollution and to achieve continual improvements in the way an organisation manages the environmental impacts arising from it's activities, and products/services"

Many organisations make use of formal specifications, such as ISO 14001 to help define the overall structure for their EMS. However, the theoretical model described in ISO 14001 and its supporting guidance (ISO 14004), only gets you so far.

Loop can offer impartial and practical advice on how to develop an EMS that delivers real benefits for your business. We start by identifying the areas with the most obvious benefits, for example, by focusing on regulatory compliance, by limiting sources of liability or by making more efficient use of materials. Then as your business develops and your EMS starts to take shape, we can help you put procedures, programmes and technologies in place to obtain further improvements.

Utlimately, systems only work when they have been developed by the people who need to use them. At the same time, we recognise that you may need a bit of help in some areas, or to speed things up a bit. And that's where we come in.

Please download the EMS checklist* to see what's involved and to get a better idea of the areas where you may need some additional help. Or you can email us at info@loopsolutions.co.uk.
